Material and use
State the material you need, such as CPP, CPE, PE or OPP, and whether it will be printed, laminated or converted into bags. If the material is not yet specified, provide an existing film or packaging sample.
Width and thickness
Always include units. Use mm for width and μm for thickness, and state any tolerances. Avoid local shorthand that may be interpreted differently. Film thickness cannot be determined from a photograph.
Core and roll format
Core internal diameter, roll weight and maximum outer diameter must suit the equipment that will handle the film. Check the machine requirements before ordering. A label from an existing roll can be a useful reference.
Appearance and performance
Agree clarity, a frosted finish or a pearlised appearance against a physical sample. For sealing, antistatic or other performance requirements, specify the test method and acceptance criteria. Appearance alone does not establish performance.
