Outer and internal dimensions
Lay the empty bag flat and record its overall width and height. Separately measure the usable width and the height below the closure. Do not count a zipper band or sealing flap as packing space.
Opening and base
Mark the opening direction, zipper or press-seal position, and any handle, hanging hole, side gusset or bottom gusset. If you have a bag sample, photograph both sides and the closure in detail.
Print area
Provide editable artwork where available. Identify the front and back, print position and colours. Use the final approved version of barcodes and QR codes.
Sample approval
Place the actual product inside the sample and check fit, closure and appearance. Once the sample and written specification are agreed, confirm the order quantity, packing format and delivery arrangements.
